I’ve never been to a Derby Party before. So you can imagine how excited I was to get the invite. Invite me to a themed party that requires me to put on a pretty dress, drink crafted cocktails and eat southern cuisine and I’m there!
I’ve always admired the oh so southern looks I would see the women wear to these type of events. If you're a Southern Belle at heart a Derby Party is for you. I knew my Pink Clove dress was perfect for this event. The bold blue and the ruffles was just the right amount of dramatic effect I needed.
The Black Chamber of Commerce space was gorgeous. I loved the decor. I truly believe nothing is as captivating are fresh red roses. The cocktails were amazing, I have a new found love for Mint Juleps. I don’t think a southern event is complete without Shrimp and Grits so that was a win. The day was filled with laughter, great convo, beautiful dresses, good food and strong drinks!!! What more can a Southern Belle ask for?
