I’ve been wanting to start doing road trips and explore my state more. Thanks to Discover SC I had the opportunity to go explore Lake City during the Artfields annual art event was going on. I have to say this was a great time to visit. I have a love of art and nothing makes my heart happier than viewing how creative people are. I live less than two hours away and this was my 1st time visiting and it will not be my last.
There was so much to see and do. Staying at the "Inn at the Crossroads" was a great choice because of it’s proximity to all of the shops and events. Everything was in walking distance which made venturing out so easy. There was art all over. It was inside boutiques and restaurants, outside on walls and on the ground. It was a piece of art heaven.
Artfields is an annual art competition. It literally turns the town into a gallery. This was my 1st time attending and instantly thought to myself “ I can’t believe I’ve been missing out on this every year.”
So saying that I hope I’m able to attend next year. Make sure you check out their website at www.artfieldssc.org so you can plan your next trip. Here are some pieces of art I simply couldn't get enough of.
Lake City itself is a gem and worth a visit even without an event going on. It’s filled with wall murals. That alone makes it an absolute content creator’s dream. With so many Instagram worthy places and spaces you could have yourself a picture perfect time. You can check out them out at www.visitlakecitysc.com that way you can go see and do everything! Also, don't forget to stop by and give Huey Cooper a nickel and rub his lucky rabbits foot.
I’m not sure where I’m headed next just yet but I’m glad Lake City was my 1st road trip in SC. Head over to discoversouthcarolina.com your bound to find someplace you’ll want to visit or an event you want to attend. Thanks for checking out the blog and until next time, be open to discovering something new.

I am coming to SC in the near future. Nice to have options for great cities to visit. This city looks very cool.
ReplyDeleteYou actually make it look so easy with your performance but I find this matter to be actually something which I think I would never comprehend. It seems too complicated and extremely broad for me. I'm looking forward for your next post, I’ll try to get the hang of it! jozy altidore
