Charleston Wine + Food #chswf23

Charleston + Wine + Food = An Amazing Festival!

CHSWF is like fine wine it just keeps getting better with age. This is my 3rd year partnering with them to show y’all all the yummy bites, delicious sips and fun time we have together.

It started with a chic VIP party at Union Station in downtown Charleston. Beautiful decor, wine sipping and food munching good time!

Then we were off to the Cistern Yard for “Opening Night” festivities. We laughed, we danced, we sipped, we ate and enjoyed every moment! This venue is gorgeous at night and so magical with the lights. It’s a must see.

El Barrio was all about the Latinx food + Culture. There was ahhhhmazing music, bold and flavorful bites and so many great cocktails. I can’t even tell you how many sipping margaritas I had but they were all sipping good! This is held at Holy City Brewing in North Charleston. Just minutes from downtown Charleston.

Culinary Village is held at the River Front Park. This is also located in North Charleston. It’s the perfect place for an outdoor festival with the river as a back drop. A day filled with music, celebrating and connecting. The CV is a three day experience. Everything is a different chance to experience new sips and bites.

The Discover SC event is a fave of mine every year. I love connecting with the Chef Ambassadors and tasting their phenomenal dishes. It’s always a treat every year to mix and mingle. I loved the signature bites and the wine ever flowing.

“Let That Be the Riesling” was a Riesling tasting event. Tastings are my favorite when it comes to wine. I love learning about the different types and pairings and of course the tasting part of it. This was my 1st time trying all of these. This was also my 1st even hearing about Ice Wine. My top 3 favorites, Living Roots Wine & Co, Trestle 31 and Trestle 31 the Demi-Sec. If you’re a Riesling lover check these out.

Finale night is always one of my favorite events. It’s like a victory lap! The festival life is fast paced but fun. It literally takes days if not weeks to recover and that’s not a bad thing. It means you have fun, enjoyed yourself and can’t wait to do it again, lol! At least that’s how it is for me. Make sure you’re following me on Instagram and check out all the reels from this years events and also saved in the highlights over there.

Until next time, save the date March 6-10 of next year! Tickets will go on sale October 19, 2024 at Charleston Wine + Food I know you don’t want to miss it. Go Sip, Bite & Taste Everything -Telisha

“Essences & Aromatics” w/Cocktail Bandits

So sipping events are my favorite! I like to think of myself as a professional sipper. I do love a cocktail, a glass of wine, a cup of tea and of course coffee. I love sipping and sharing it, so you can go and try something new. So invite me to all the sipping moments. I’ll be there with glass in hand.

This was the “Essences & Aromatics” event created by the Cocktail Bandits. You have to check them out over on Instagram @cocktailbandits or on their website cocktailbandits.com

The event featured a cocktail making class and a fragrance making class by Tijon of Charleston. The night started with a welcome cocktail, the Masterpiece. It’s always a treat to hang with the Cocktail Bandits. They make spirit education fun and engaging. I always learn so much about whatever the spirit is. This event was all about Gin.

Can I be honest with you? Gin is usually my last to pick, when thinking of what type of cocktail I want. The Cocktail bandits prove yet again, when cocktails are properly prepared any spirit is enjoyable. I love a well balanced cocktail. They always get it right!

The combination of crafting cocktails and creating a signature fragrance was such a great concept. I was so excited to create with Tijon. This was my first time and I enjoyed every moment. Choosing all the different scents was very difficult. So many of them smelled amazing. I decided on Vanilla, Amber and Honey. Y'all, I'm so in love with my scent. It's giving, earthy, warm and sensual vibes. I can't wait to go. I think creating a Summer scent would be a great idea. Lowcountry Oyster Festival

If you ever thought about going to an oyster festival, this is where you want to be! I love festivals and the Low Country Oyster Festival has become my new must attend event. It’s named one the largest Oyster Festival in the World.  This was my first year attending. I had such an amazing time. I can’t wait till next year. I actually won the tickets through a giveaway on Instagram. The tickets were VIP and included unlimited drinks and oysters plus a brunch buffet.

The festival is every year at Boone Hall Plantation located in Mt Pleasant, SC. I made sure to head to the festival early The weather was bright and sunny for the first couple of hours. It was perfect oyster shucking weather! We love our seafood here in the south. I think that’s what I love the most about living in Charleston. If you’re a seafood lover, this is where it’s at. Coastal loving me and fresh seafood and we love it here. Now back to the festival.

They had everything you would need in the VIP area. They supplied the oyster knives, hot sauce, cocktail sauce and the buckets of oysters. We had local clusters and Virginia select singles. There is no need to pick which one, I didn’t I had a bucket or two of both lol. It’s okay to love them both! I promise if you don’t get VIP tickets you’re still guaranteed a great time. There are lots of food and bev vendors. I had the best oyster shooter ever out there and I’m currently stalking their Instagram so I can find them again when they pop up.

So keep the “Lowcountry Oyster Festival” on your radar for next year. If you’re a oyster lover like I am you won’t be disappointed.

Thanks for checking out my latest taste adventure. Make sure you're following along with my day to day over on instagram @sipbiteandtasteit
