Last night was full of yumminess at "Da Hump Day Takeover!" Chef BJ Dennis and guest Mixologist Keyatta Mincey took over Cane Rhum Bar located on East Bay st in downtown Charleston.

 It all started with the...

Hibiscus and Blood Orange Daiquiri

This drink was intense, bold and rich tasting it was more like an experience than a drink...and I like that.

This yummy goodness above is Garlic Crab Yucca Fries. It was my 1st time having Yucca and it was good! It has the consistency of a potato but sweeter and that Garlic Crab Gravy just took it to a new level. I'm so happy I ordered that. Below is the Spicy Beef Empanadas, oh how I love them. Spicy food is a fave so this was a must. Another great choice I might add.

I ended my meal with the "Pretty and Pink Guava Daiquiri" isn't she pretty?
She was oh so yummy! The takeover menu was definitely a hit!

This was my 1st time at Cane Rhum Bar and it won't be my last. This place has an amazing cool casual vibe to it. The decor is very welcoming, it makes you want to hangout. If you're in the city check it out and if your coming from out of town put this place on your list.

Thanks so much for reading.

  3. Okay, the 2nd to last photo almost got me. I thought it was outside! I'm like, oh wow! Then I continued scrolling to see it's just a painting. At least, it's a beautiful one.

Can't go wrong with a glass of daiquiri.
