It’s always starts with a cocktail! I like to call it pre gaming. The Peach Basil Arnold Palmer was sipping good! How could you possibly go wrong with sweet tea vodka peach liquor thai basil and lemon. It was so refreshing, especially since we were sitting out on the patio. The humidity is nothing to play with.
Now let the tasting begin:
Whipped feta with fermented honey, black pepper, pita and veggies. You can’t tell me that doesn’t sound amazing. Now I’m going to tell you it’s Aaahhhhhmazing, I’m still having foodie flashbacks.
Bacon Wrapped Dates : oh yesss the combination of sweet and savory was on point, definitely a must have.
Watermelon Salad : I was immediately called to this, Jalapeño lime dressing, mint , basil, feta and Watermelon happens to be my favorite fruit. It’s Summers Candy! It was flavorful and refreshing. Now I’m stalking the stores looking for the dressing because next Summer I’m trying to make this at home.
Avocado crispy salad : This was the most adventurous thing that I ate. I don’t really like avocados. However the salad looked amazing and the avocado pieces were cut up small so I figured I’d go ahead and give it a try and I was not disappointed. I was pleasantly surprised! I’ve honestly never tasted anything quite like it before it had Carolina Gold crispy rice, seasonal greens, peanuts in Serrano Chiles and we added shrimp! That was genius. Go ahead and add the shrimp, you will thank me later.
Baby back ribs: Hands down was the most mind blowing taste of the evening for me. They were bold, savory, tender and juicy chermoula, Israeli spice, pomegranate molasses. Y’all I’m over here planning my next visit cause I have to go back soon.
If you’re visiting Charleston or even local and you’re looking for something different it’s definitely worth heading over to Butcher and Bee and getting you some of these goodies. I’m all about sips and bites. My favorite thing to do is to go and order loads of appetizers and cocktails with friends and we eat and chat and laugh and drink, here we're sipping on margaritas and honestly nothing gets any better than that! This night was girls night out with my friends Narcisa of @narcisa08 and Johnny and Taneka the @cocktailbandits it’s a fun experience every time we link up and drink up! Cheers!
